Brake Shoe Adjustment

Recommended Posts

Gonna try and adjust my brake shoes through the bolt holes.

Which way do I need to flick the adjuster wheel?

Cheers

Down. Why not just take the drum off? You can clean it out then.

Just swapped the beam and the one I bought had been done up to go on the guys rally car before he decided to go for a 309 one.

As a result it has new wheel bearings, wheel cylinders, handbrake cables and best of all solid mounts!!!

So no need to take them off if I can avoid it.

The drums also have an extra hole which I'm thinking may have been drilled to make adjustments easier.

Nothing wrong with popping the drum off.

Tried doing it through the extra hole thats been drillled in the drum and it does line up perfectly with the adjuster but ended up taking the drum off as they needed adjusting quite a bit.

I think I'll do it through the hole from now on as it should only need a couple of clicks each time.

Cheers
