I've done a bit more digging about the collector that bought the Delorean..

Interestingly, he with Evanta (Ant Ansteads company) developed the DB4 Zagato build that Evanta now sell.

 

So, its a very small circle of interconnected people buying these cars innit!

 

Shame really because its kinda took the shine off the show now. And i did/do love it!

To be fair they did introduce him as a friend of Ant's when he tried to buy it before the auction.

 

That's not to say I believe everything they claimed, a lot of it was obviously staged.

Did anyone see the Classic car rescue with the Beetle? That looked bloody dangerous when they had finished it, it had a about 5 degrees of positive camber on the rear wheels!! Frightening....
