Step Drill Bit - Any Recomendations?

Recommended Posts

Liquid_106

As per the title - looking to buy a step drill bit, but there is a massive difference in price between your typical eBay specials and something branded (Exact). It won't be heavily used so I don't need anything of professional spec, but I also don't won't something that will last just the one use.

What have you got in you tool kit and would you recommend it. Also, what should I steer clear of?

Cheers

Steve

I think mine are sealey so not hugely expensive. Great for drilling thin metal and stuff for mounting switches etc. don't think they would take huge abuse but work well for car stuff.

Going on both the options you provided, I guess it's best to steer clear of the lower end of the budget and 'invest' some money in something decent. Have been caught out with eBay tools before, so just confirmed I'll have to pay a little more!

Cheers both B)
