Thanks jackherer! I didn't think so. From tidying the solanoid wiring in the engine bay it's started 1st time every time since.

 

I'll tidy up that wiringing in the glove box and replace the whole wire with a new one. Hopefully that's another job ticked off but found a few more...

After removing the fuse and various connectors the starter issues seem to have been resolved.

 

Some new bits have arrived for fitting over the bank hol weekend. Some shiny oil breathers
