Head Rest Stuck...

ok, really stupid, but I need to take the headrest off so i can remove a seat cover that someones fitted.

 

yanked and yanked at it, but it will not come up.

 

any ideas?

If you just want rid of the cover take a sharp knife to it??

Hi,

I take it that it's the main seat cover you want to remove and need to get the headrest off first. If so, unfasten the bottom (back fixing) of the seat squab insert section so that it pulls forward and then reach up to the headrest and pull off the wire clips that locates the headrest on each side. Looks like this.

cheers for the help guys,

 

my car came with some tweed seat covers that are actually alright and a really good fit on my seats. so would like to get them off in one piece as i may stick them in the washing machine and refit them.

 

might unbolt the seat and remove it and then try, i cant get enough leverage on it at the moment - cramped interior!
