Gearbox Code Position

I've got a Citroen C4 with the tu5jp4 engine and dreaded MA box with shagged bearings, where in the hell is the gearbox code ? The box is still in the car but everything is stripped around it and I can't for the life of me see it. Found a serial number but it looks nothing like the 6 digit codes I'm finding on the net.

 

Any help ?

Its usually next to the serial number.

I'll have another look then. Can only just see the serial number up the top near the starter motor ( presumming that is the serial number )

iirc it'll be on the front of the gearbox, its there on a BE box.

just found it !! well hidden on the bell housing at the back by the Diff , 20CQ16.

bloody nightmare to get that box out. Opened it up to find bits of bearing floating about.
