Fitting 4 Pots To 1.9 Gti

Recommended Posts

bazil_205gti

Hi i am fitting a set of 4 pots to my 205 gti i am uprating my m/c too a 23mm is there anything else i should consider? eg removing the brake compensater/bias valve? also is it worth me fitting a new servo its 27 years can these get worn and be less effiecent? is it possible to get hold of new servos?

Any advice would be great.

Why are you putting a 23mm mastercylinder on? It may not be necessary unless the pistons in the new brakes are considerably bigger.

Again you may or may not need the compensators, depends what the brakes are.

i have dimma 16" split rims they fit fine, ive fitted them but there is alot of travel in the pedal i was told by fitting a 23mm m/c it will take some of that up. the brakes im using are compbrake pro 1s
