What Models With Green Interior Had Checked Door Cards?

Just curious, mines a '91 steel grey with green interior, my door cards have a strip of green carpet at the bottom but the majority is black. Like this:

 

 

Saw a pic on the net somewhere with the door cards almost completely in green check, like the main bit of the seats. Looked great. Like this:

 

 

 

Was this only on laser greens or something?

It was on late GTi models that had the green interior - typically 1992/K-reg onwards cars after catalysts were standard and carpets went grey (so called Phase 2.5 cars)

 

Models with green interior were Sorrento's, Lasers, and Steel Greys.

 

I've got a set of the late doorcards in mine that I removed from a accident damaged K-reg Sorrento.

 

(red interior models had similar doorcards but with red check)

Ah, I see - my old J Reg red GTI had checked door cards, if I remember correctly.

 

Checked door cards look really good I reckon - I'm going to keep a look out for a set for mine I think.

My sorrento has green checked door cards and it is a late K plate.

 

My previous white K plate had the carpet type but it was an early K.
