Get a pencil draw/rub the tip either side and inside the main metal part of the zips.

Put a little washing up liquid literally a tiny drop in each side and leave to soak for 5 mins or so.

Then gently move the zip backwards and forwards.

Hopefully it should start to move.

If you break them I have had replacements made with nylon teeth ( custom length) for all 3 rear seat zips.

;)

I've got two seat bases from 1.6 seats. Think the zips have stuck on them too but I can cut the covers off and you can try to ease them apart if you like? Might be good to soak them in some wd40 or something

Sorry to butt in and hijack this thread. I am in fact looking for a pair of seat bases. Don't want or need the covers. Just the bases. Pugley, would those ones you mention above be up for grabs if the covers have been removed for gaz, by any chance?

You're welcome to them. They still have the covers on but aren't in great condition. I'm at Micheldever station so feel free to pop over whenever you want them. Send me a pm to arrange a convenient time
