Rear Flexi Pipes

On my drums on the back, there are 2 flexi pipes, are they the same both sides?

 

and do the flexi's have female connections on both ends of the flexi?

I'm assuming that you're talking about the flexi's that go around the beam tube (as there shouldn't be any on the drums themselves).

 

On a 1.6 GTi they're different - the N/S is female-male and the O/S is female-female.

 

On base models and 1.9 GTi's they're female-female on both sides.

The N/S rear brake hose can be tricky to get certainly genuine, now as it's NLA.

yes thanks for that,i guess i will order these 2 up then,just finished rebuilding the rears up as the old cylinder had seized on one side so i replace both cylinders with new

 

shoes and now it free wheels and handbrake has a couple of clicks now, all i got to do now which i have already is replace all the brake lines for copper ones
