Fuel/brake Pipe Bracket

Recommended Posts

Clapton_Is_God

Hello,

There is a fuel and brake pipe bracket on the bulkhead that I think holds another bracket to support the wiring loom (see pictures).

Does anyone know if I have this wiring loom support bracket in the correct place and the correct way round? Or perhaps a link to a picture?

At the moment it looks like it would foul the fuel pipes and I can't for the life of me remember how I took it off.

Any help would be appreciated.

I think it needs to point outwards rather than inwards.

I think it might be upside down too.

You need the bolt through the small square end with the long rounded end pointing up and out.

Copper fuel pipe, don't tell Miles

Good stuff, thank you Dave!

I had a feeling it wasn't right and what you've said makes sense.

I'm not happy about the copper either. It was only temporary to get the engine running.

Thanks again!

You gonna start a progress thread for Peter?

Thank you Paul, that picture is a big help.

Thank you, I have thought about a progress thread. My main concern is that progress seems to be very slow at the moment, one step forward and two back. I'm not sure anyone would want to keep up with it. It's taken me 5 years to get this far!

It's nothing that people haven't seen before (perhaps a different colour) but I'll give it some thought.

Thanks again for your help.......Peter is grateful ;)

Over the years all of my cars have been named by other people.

During a week moment I tried my luck with some internet dating and got chatting to a woman who owned a Peugeot 205.....result! She told me her car was called Peggy Peugeot and suggested I call mine Peter. Not wanting to break tradition I just went with it. That was many years ago and it's just stuck.

It always confuses' people when they ask me what I did over the weekend etc and I tell them I spent it giving Peter some love haha. Maybe it's me that's confused!?

LMAO

Maybe we should all name our cars, mine is deffo a girl as she takes all my time and money, is never very happy and you just know you'll be fighting with her for years to come. Jane it is then.......

At least it will sound better when I tell people I been servicing Jane all weekend
