Swapping Seats - But Keeping Existing Runners & Subframe/base

Any guides? Did a search but no luck...

 

Plan to swap over front seats, do the existing ones come away from the existing subframe/base just by undoing a few bolts? I mean removing the seat from the actual subframe which contains the lever etc, not the runners.

Yes, the tilt mechanism is just bolted to the seat and is simple to swap.

 

If you're swapping driver and passenger seats then the tilt lever need bending slightly, otherwise it will hit the adjustment knob.

Basically just putting new seats onto existing subframes.

 

Is it just a case of 4 T40 torxbolts holding subframe to seat?

yes you may find you'll need to open the tilt mechanism a little to get the torx piece in as they are kind of covered over
