anyone knows if the engine mounts "febi" (bilstein group) are like oem or are very soft as many aftermarket?

All Febi parts are oem quality or better.

They'd better be as I've just replaced every single bush and rubber mount on my car with them.

my problem with the engine mounts and in particular with the lower is that, when is new is ok but after some km became "chewing gum" and the engine "dancing".I hope that febi isnt like others i ve tried.

I have a genuine bush and new mount but it is expensive compared to just a bush.

If you're replacing all of the mounts is it not worth using the BBM ones as I think the whole sets about 120 quid and they are made uprated rubber

Provided you don't mind your dash rattling itself to bits, the BBM ones are fine

I hear this a lot, yes when brand new the BBM lower bush is harsh, however persevere for 500 miles and they settle down lovely.

I still don't like the vibrations they give and mine has probably had 5k.

Sorry to go slightly off topic but a lot of people say the bum solid rear beam kit is a really good upgrade. How badly does this make the car rattle in your experience?

At the end of the day, if you want quiet and comfortable fit standard mounts!

If you want less stuff wanking around on rubbers buy uprated but accept the noise increase.

Each to their own!

its only the magnex that wanks about because the flexi is in the wrong place, would be fine with a standard or different design manifold.

They are solely what I use for uprated mounts and suspension parts now having tried all others in the past, 2 spec's of them in road and race on the 205 and have them in stock.
