Help With Mounting?

Hello,

I have received my bushes from BBM this morning and want to fit the bottom engine mount and gearbox mount this weekend, are there any magic tips to make this easier on my xs?

cut the sleeve with a hacksaw to remove the old one.

 

then clean the casting thoroughly, pop it in the oven flat out for 15-20 minutes, whilst the bush is in the freezer.

 

with oven gloves or welding gauntlets fit both together then douse in water asap to stop the rubber melting.

not when doing the rear one, but the other two side ones yes.

You can push the new mount into the lower casting with a press or a man-size vice.

Or a bit of threaded bar and two sockets.
