Can Any Recommend A Bodywork Repair Shop In Kent?

Hi

I have the dreaded rust taking hold in front of the rear wheel arches on both side and wanted to get this repaired before it goes too far.

I have spoken to Tunbridge Coach works and from the photo's below they have quoted a ridiculous figure of £2000!

Although i have used TCW before and know that there work is very, very good there quote seems excessive to say the least.

 

The other thing is i know that peugeot cherry red is a real pain to try and colour match and i do not want to spray too much of the car as i would prefer it as original as possible.

 

I think where the plastic trim line is could i just get away that sprayed along both rear quarters or would i need to get the entire length of the car under the black plastic trim spayed.

 

Any advice and recommendations would be gratefully received.

I had a cherry red car with the same problem. I got several quotes and went with the cheapest, big mistake! I was never happy with it ever again and ended up selling it as I didn't want to spend more money and risk the same again. All I'd say is make sure whoever sprays it is very very confident they can colour match and stress that to them. Where the suns not been it's still the original cherry, but mine was several shades lighter on exposed panels.

Chappel coach works in West Kingsdown sprayed my whole car for less than that. They sub out some welding but it was done very well. It did have to go back because of a couple of silly mistakes but overall they did a great job.

Ask for Luke and tell him Brian with the Grey 205 recommended you.

Thanks Andy101 - Like you i need to feel comfortable that they will do a good job before i let them take it in. Colour matching is very important.

Hi Brian J - You are the second person i have heard mention Chappel Coachworks in West Kingsdown. Thanks for the recommendation I think I will be calling them on Monday to arrange a quote.

 

The other company mention is KDS from Railway Street Industrial Park, Gillingham Kent - Has anyone on here used them before?

I thought they were a detailing company?

Yeah that will probably be mine, I work down Bromley green road. How long have you had this? I only started seeing it about a month ago?
