Gti6 Pad Question

Recommended Posts

Roon

Hopefully a straight foward answer.

Doing my final order for my brakes with demon tweeks but there is a conflict regarding the pads.

Running ds2500 on 6 discs. The guy is saying there is 4 different shapes/types which is consisof me. Thought all the 6 brakes were the same through the phases.

Is there way of clarifying this?

Have a look what make of caliper you have, all types of caliper take different pads.

If they are the same as my hdi then there is a choice of lucas, Girling or Bosch iirc.

there is only one type of gti6 brake caliper.

though there are two pad part numbers that fit, one is listed for the clio, its the same backing but a different friction material shape, possibly a bit cheaper.

I'll have to look when I pop down to see miles as cars there, DT reckons there are 4 pad types, but as I found the earlier you go the cheaper the pad.

I have some red stuffs on there ATM and they sit almost over on the disc but their total crap pads tbh. Doesn't help the guy on the phone is a condescending tossa.

Miles

Joy's of DS's that is, but it's like 1.9's being listed with other pads when they are not, Quick hint use Clio 187 pads, Cheaper and larger surface area
