tk1405 3 Posted March 10, 2014 Hi all, i have heard that a 406 master cylinder is a good upgrade for a 205 gti. Which year and model 406 master cylinder is best and easiest to fit to a 205 gti 1.9? any help would be good many thanks
welshpug 1,646 Posted March 10, 2014 (edited) They're all the same. Non abs will be 4 port, but a non abs 406 is pretty rare, though replacements may be 4 port and have two blanking plugs included. Edited March 10, 2014 by welshpug

calvinhorse 870 Posted March 11, 2014 What size are they? Are the brembo equipped cars the same?
welshpug 1,646 Posted March 11, 2014 All 23.8mm, they use 57mm lucas/girping calipers similar to the gti6 on most, iirc the total piston area of a coupe brembo caliper is less.

blandy 29 Posted September 21, 2014 Rather than start a new thread I thought id add to this. Can anyone help I have just brought a 2 port 406 mc with the 2 ports both on the same side. Which port will be for front and which for rear or does it not matter? Just before I make up the new lines
