205 Factory Build Sticker

Recommended Posts

lightflow

I was just putting some parts on the dash back together the other day when I found a sticker behind one of the panels.

I was really pleased to see that it looked like the original factory build manifest - like a birth certificate I guess.

I've blanked out the VIN for obvious reasons, but is there any information that anyone can decode from this other than the obvious:

21 June 16:43 was the "Finish date of the Build" I guess? It looks like it was built almost 9 months before being first registered in the UK.

It is Graphite Grey - so yes I have the original (if now restored) matching colour.

It was destined for England "Rei Uni"

Not sure what the "Conj Pedales" means or anything else for that matter. Interesting though and it goes into the history file for the car...

Nice... I was quite chuffed to find it!

If my GCSE in French & Spanish serves me correctly (possibly) - Pedales = Pedals :)

Well Alex - yes I guessed at that but wasn't sure it was Spanish or French as it seems to be the same in both languages and don't know what "conj" means either.

Could it mean that it is right hand drive i.e. "pedals on the other side" if you were French.

XU9J is obviously they engine.

MET-B 08 is intriguing....

No Andy - I don't think its a part identifier - it has the VIN number on it and the body colour and the engine type.

It could be a part sticker :) Having the chassis number on the sticker would be how they would match the part to the chassis at build time.

Yes it could then, that would make sense. Perhaps it's the main dash part - hence the reference to pedals...
