Something Fishy About This One?

I know this section says i cant post links to sales, but I dont want to sell a car. Im currently looking around for a car, without any pressure though.

Today I stumbled upon this one:

http://www.kapaza.be/nl/peugeot/1-9-gti-bommetje-82127351.htm

Sorry for the dutch language, but basicly its a peugeot 205 1.9 gti from 1984...

Now I always thought that they started making the 1.9 gti in 1987. So I think this car was a 1.6, which then got its motor replaced, which would also explain the rather low mileage.

What do you guys think?

Also notice how high left handed gti's go for. You can find cheaper, but they always have at least 200k km and most have corrosion. Not as much choice as in the UK sadly, and no miami blues in my country.

Any pointers on finding the good car is welcome, and things i have to look at which can lead to big costs,

Thanks in advance,

Jeroenymo

The engine, seats and lights are definitely not original. That's not to say it's a bad car, it might have been done well.

Neither is the bonnet or the wheels, but that is a good thing :D.

It's funny that they've included the 130 bhp handbook too .

But all-in-all - I reckon it looks pretty nice inside and out, if a bit expensive!
