Setting Tps

Recommended Posts

I reset my throttle stop ladr night as per the haynes manual and then went onto the TPS.

The haynes book talks about using feeler guages which I didnt have with me so I just set it so it clicks as soon as the throttle moves.

Is it worth going back with feeler guages or not. From what I can understand as long as its clicking when the throttle is shut then that's going to drop the fuel supply.

you need to do a bit more than check it clicks, get the multimeter on it.

using the feeler gauge to set it also ensures you dont hit the WOT switch too early, or not at all, that's also something to check with the multimeter.
