Peugeot 405 Mi16 (Modified/daily)

I was getting dangerously close to completing my peugeot 309 when I was (sort of) offered another peugeot 405 mi16.. I arranged to collect the car from north Wales with my brother Allanallen.

My original intentions was to strip it and use the parts to mod my 1.6 gl 405 but when we arrived I fell in love with the Mi16 and was amazed how solid it is, all the usual 405 rust spots are in near perfect condition, the only downside is the paint is scratched on pretty much every panel!

Being the superior phase1 model the 'real mi16' she had to be saved..

The story goes the car was in storage for around 6 years, then later purchased and the engine was removed and sold along with a few other switches and bits and the wheels

Back home...

I cleaned all the interior and made a list of all the parts I needed to replace, nothing to difficult to get hold of but £££ added up!

I didn't need anymore mouse sh1t as the car had plenty of that!

Interior all in damn good condition, bit faded but no wear or damage.

Plan is to polish up a gti6 engine I have and rebuild the front and rear suspension..

Yes Oberon

I can't see the runners all being equal length when it's done but should be better than using the cast manifold.

They will be equal length!

Where does it foul anyway?

Is it something to do with manifold fouling steering rack?
