Paint Companies Can't Find Peugeot Eve Paint Code - Alloy Wheels&#

Recommended Posts

ATK

Trying to find a little pot of touch up paint for my alloys.

I've messaged a load of sellers on Ebay, and have given them the PEUGEOT EVE paint code wich I understand is correct.

Thing is, none of them (5+) can find the paint code on their databases?

Is there any other paint code that is an equivalent?

Cheers

Alex

My advice is, forget the internet or ebay, find a local paint supplier and go and see them.

Mine certainly has supplied me with EVE silver a few times.

One of them has indicated it's the same as Citroen silver....I'm not convinced...

Why on earth would PSA use the same paint code for two different-but-similar colours...?

A quick two second google finds umpteen suppliers for touch-up sticks or rattlecans in EVE Gris Perle.

Yes, but a google search for Peugeot EVE brought up nothing, hence the thread I started.

Cool, well that makes it easier, if it's definately Citroen silver then I'll get a pot of that - sorted! :)

The later ETJ alloy colour ('92 onwards?) is also a mystery according to these paint suppliers!

You'd be surprised at the stupid things PSA do like this. Just look at paint code EYY, it can be either Infinite Blue or Meteor Grey - two completely different colours. Their reasoning was that Meteor Grey is obsolete so they reassigned the code rather than make a new one and neglected to tell anyone - making every paint suppliers database incorrect.

These's also how close a code can be but the colour be so drastically different, EXY for example is a BLACK as you can get black that's on my ZX  its actually Onyx black, same as 205's.
