Brembo 4 Pots

Recommended Posts

randomcaller

HI all, I've done a bit of searching on the forum but would just like to clarify something. Will 4 pots from a 406 with 283mm by 26mm disks fit straight onto my 1.8d hubs? I know I'll need to run spacers to get the wheels to clear. Will I need any different brake hoses to get them to fit also? I have the same calipers on my c2 v6 and it's all a straight fit and plug and play. I want some better stopping power on my xud project that I'm hammering together as the standard brakes are horrible!

Will these brakes be fine on the standard master cylinder and still running rear drums? I expect increased pedal travel bit I'm used to that on the c2 as well.

Quickly while I'm here what kind of upgrades could I do to the rear beam I have e.g using solid mounts ans harder bushes or would it be worth upgrading to a gti rear beam? The car goes alright but I want it to stop and corner good too, any other suggestions on suspension upgrades? I'm trying to keep this build pretty budget so I'm not expecting race car performance or anything :)

Many thanks

Chris

They will bolt straight on, you need different flexible hoses and fit a 1.6gti beam, big improvement.

You should really fit a larger master cylinder.
