Body Trim.

Grumble grumble.

It seems like one of the previous owners thought it would be a good idea to spray some form of black paint on the bumpers/trim. This is now starting to rub of and I'm hoping the pressure washer takes it straight off as there's no primer. If not anyone else got some ideas.

Secondly

These red inserts that seem to cost a small house has anyone any good suggestions on taking them back to red or will they require a light rub down and repaint in some form of red.

Thanks.

I used a soft brass (or copper) wire brush for cleaning up a set of old trim, took a while but came up really well. Then just a coat of plastcare to finish.

I rubbed my inserts down using wire wool and sprayed them red with halfords paint, it's lasted 6 years so far.

I have the exact red code for the inserts somewhere if you want it?

I used it against a new one down at the paint shop to match up.

Yeh would be better than experimenting with paint codes in halfords it's going to be a mare when I go in to get some for the car don't want to confuse them to much.
