Arch Extensions/wide Arch Kits ?

Recommended Posts

Ian205

what sort of replacement arch extenions or wide arch kits are available for 205's? alot of mine are fairly tatty looking and am considering fitting wider arches aswell as replacing the arch trims with the original plastics. iv seen the dimma wide arch kits and there abit too much for me personally, looking for something a little more subtle..so whats out there?

Subtle would probably be the Euro Rallye style arches tbh, which are similar shape to the arches fitted to the 106 Rallye.

I know Ecosse used to do a range of Euro imported fibreglass bodykits for the 205 some of which included wider / flared arches, although how some of those kits would look on a 205 nowadays could be interesting and may look a bit dated, for want of a better word.

Historically I think it was Gutmann that did a flared arch kit as part of a full bodykit for their converted cars, but trying to get hold of those things nowadays would be highly unlikely tbh.

Original ones probably not (or if you can I'd imagine there would be the usual "rare part" tax on them, but there have been a couple of companies doing fibreglass replicas over the last couple of years :)

There used to be at least 2 companies that sold the fibreglass replicas on eBay for a price much less than Ecosse, but I must admit I haven't seem them listed in the past few months.
