S16 Cam Sensor

Hi guys,

 

I'm running a PeterT S16 inlet in an Mi16 head and I've plugged the hole in the end of the camshaft so that oil does not come out.

 

I'd like to run sequential injection now. What is the original part that fits over the end of the shaft on the S16 and houses the cam angle sensor and will it fit my Mi16 head?

Its the thermostat housing, do you still have the tang on the end of the camshaft?

Yes, the 2L thermostat housing fits the 1.9L head. You need to fit the cam seal before pressing on the cam sensor tang.

still have the tang, funny name. the seal I assume is the standard one in the head ?

Yes, just use a std 1.9L seal behind the tang. It prevents oil getting into the housing, which would otherwise drain back via a hole in the side of the head.
