407 Hdi Flywheel Compatibility

This has probably poped up several times before but I can't find anything at the minute.

 

I've been looking at a 407 2.0 hdi needing a flywheel..

 

Has anyone fitted a solid flywheel from a 2007> Expert/Dispatch 2.0 hdi as I work in a van breakers and can pick one up handy.

 

I've heard a few people saying they are the same but I need to know for sure.

 

Pretty much the same idea as swapping the dmfw from a 1.9 Laguna for a Trafic solid kit which I have done before.

try euro car parts site - they may do solid flywheels [know they do for some cars ] and maybe compare part nos--if they match or at least show a listing for solid then i would think they are interchangable

Hi I've got a 2.0 HDi 407 and I found that any XU engine flywheel will physically fit onto the crankshaft.

 

Going for single mass flywheel will probably give you some loss of comfort, as the 407 really idles nice with the standard dual mass setup.

 

I'm however not sure about which one you have to use though, to get a compatible clutch matching it.
