Forgive me but for some reason search comes up blank to the word oil!!

Is Castrol Magnatec 10w40 still a good choice for my 1.9?

Cheers :)

The search function doesn't work with words of three characters or less, that's why.

That oil will be fine for a road driven 8v - no need for anything fancy, just a half decent 10W40 semi.

I'd personally avoid magnatec, you're paying a premium for s*it oil.

Total quartz 7000, though this is a newer oil, is what they would have had from new and I run my 1.6 on this.

I like comma oil. 10w40 semi for road cars or 5w50 fully for stuff that sees a bit more pain.

Always used Mobil Super S / 2000 10w40 semi. Never seen the point of Castrol in 4 or 4.5l bottles when the XU capacity (with filter) is 5l.

Fuch's titan 10/40, If it can help a Mi last for 15 miles with a broken oil pump it's good in my book and to date I've never had a issue with a engine with it in,

No it isn't. Do some proper research before spouting off rubbish.

Comma oil is recycled waste oil

That is how they got started in the 1960's but Comma has just been part of Esso since the 1980's.
