Does The Lotus Ap Setup Fit Behind C5 Wheels?

Recommended Posts

Francesco

I'm looking for options to improve the brakes and also reduce weight at the front. I now use 307 HDi calipers / Zimmerman 307 HDI 283mm discs and Carbon Lorraine RS6 brake pads. With 205 GTi 1.9 Speedline (Italy). Anough stopping power, but not the lightest setup.

So I was reading through the topics here and saw the Lotus Elise/Exidge - Vauxhall VX220 AP Racing 2 pot option. AP Racing number CP5111 if I'm correct.

But I'm wondering, has anyone tried this behind C5 alloy steelies wheels? Is it possible without using a spacer?

to fit them behind 1.9 wheels, you need a 6mm spacer, unsure of what is needed to fit behind C5 wheels

After trying to fit both 1.9 rims and C5's over my 6pots I'd say they have a similar clearance to each other

Ok, I can live with 6mm spacers. Time to find a set of these calipers. These can be find on a Lotus Elise/Exige and Vauxhall VX220 (Opel Speedster in Europe) isn't it? Any other cars that have the same calipers?

Are the TVR Cerbera rear calipers the same ones? As they also say CP5111 on the casting.

Speak with torques.co.uk they keep new AP calipers in stock ready for the job. I got some pricing from them but then I bought a set of 6 pot Kads for the right price.
