What Have You Done To Your 205 Today?

Fitted a new vacuum pipe from the distributor to the throttle body.

Also spent a while cleaning up where a tube of Wellseal had decided to empty itself all over the bench due to a split lid, sticking everything to the bench in the process

Lol was stripped the first few weekends I had it, repaired some small bits of rust and replaced the complete front panel waiting for some seat mounts and front wings and then start thinking about painting.

Actually I've lost Ryan's number could you let him know I've his gearbox and spare wheels ready when he wants them

Got my parcel from Poland yesterday , 2 trailing arm shafts and 2 sets of SNR bearings and seals . The quality of them looks great .

Pressed the 2 shafts into my trailing arms last night and should be fitting the bearings today .

Removed my rear beam and fuel tank this evening. All came out no problems as i had the beam out a couple of years ago. Next job it to sort the underside :S

Pressed new wheel bearings into front hubs and primed my prototype drop link extension for gti6 front shocks.

Wanted to start cleaning up a wheel arch but helping my colleague play race cars put paid to that idea.

Got home, looked at rally car, looked at the weather, thought 'f*** it' and took it out for a blast :)

Over snake pass to glossop then back towards Sheffield and bashed it down the lanes around the strines (I realise this means very little to most of you :P). Racked up 70 miles, must stop putting s*it fuel in it though, tis very lethargic now the weathers picking up!

Lol, accidents I'm guessing..... Or snow :P

It's an awesome stretch of road, tight rough bits, yumps, sweeping fast stuff and an incredible range of scenery, everything you'd ever want really :)

I know some of it, used to bash around in a transit van, a sprinter 311 or an LT 109 delivering radiators once a week :D

Today I've mainly been contemplating knocking down the 205's garage with a view to rebuilding it as a barn.

I'm hopeful this should enhance its value no end.

Actually, I tidied my bench up in contemplation of starting work on it again.

Reset the rear ride height. I had it set to 322 between shock mount holes and it looked too low. I now have it at 325 and it looks spot on. Re-bled the brakes with a pressure bleeder but the pedal is still a bit pants. I wonder if it feels a bit soft due to everything being brand new?

Replaced my gear bushes with some bronze ones I bought ages ago.

Tidied up some rust, then stared at the rest of the rust for a while without doing anything.

Did a bit of wiring, now have full speakers and 1 driving light; bought some wire to rewire the other driving light when I get the chance.

Repainted my driving light surrounds as they were rusty (only a year old).

Fitted my badge refresh stickers; they look good.

Bought a replacement used original steering wheel, now that the prices have come down to a bit more reasonable.

Bought New discs ready for my brake overhaul (when I get round to it).

Used mine for my wedding on Saturday! It got the boys to the church and back without breaking so it's all good!

Yesterday, washed it, bled the brakes, front right was the issue, adjusted up the clutch, and finally silenced all the blows on the maniblow.

As a result it now feels much quicker, sounds like an angry elephant having his testicles stood on, and is less of a kangaroo on very slight throttle openings... which i can't explain for the life of me

Well happy
