My gearbox mount arrived today, hopefully fit it at the weekend. That's every single rubber bush/mount renewed on the whole of the 1.6 now. Should feel virginal when I finally get it back on the road.

At least it missed the boot.......

I'd of preferred it to have destroyed the boot rather than the rear quarter :(

How do you fix that?

True, no damage is nice. Can it be pulled out, or is it a new quarter?

Not started it yet. Chatting with my mate though, we're gonna weld some bolts to the corner and pull it whilst tapping the creases. He rekons it'll come out something like, I'm sceptical :P

As long as it holds the tail light and looks roughly 205 shaped I'll be happy. The car's a tool for a job, doesn't need to be pretty really.

I reckon it will come something like. Have you got a decent slide hammer?

Walked past it several times thought about the jobs I want to do.

Didn't have the time for any.

Might even drive it one day.

Went to start for first time after completing my low boost charged conversion, battery dead as a door nail, on charge overnight, lets see what happens tomorrow!!! I'm s*it scared, 100% reliable last year as a standard GTI6.

Changed the steering wheel, indicator stalk and leccy window switches. Still trying to figure out why the boot jumps open when you shut the driver, or passenger door?!?
