Shortest 205 Be3 Final Drive

Doing some preperations for the start of the rx season in a couple of weeks and was wondering what the shortest final drive fitted as standard into the be3?

 

Our regulations say we can only use what was originally fitted to a 205 so using a xzara 4.4 or berlingo 4.8 isn't allowed. What was fitted to a 205 rallye box?

rallye used an MA box so thats a no go.

 

shortest FD was the 4.06 1.6 gti, diesels are 3.47 or something silly like that!

Ah that's a bummer, I thought they might have used a shorter one in somewhere over the year's. Ill stick with the 4.06 so. The 16v lads use the 106 rallye box alright and its within the rules for them.

if it is within the rules : BE3 MI16 -> 4.4

I don't think so Miles, I'll find out though.

 

With regards to gears is there any 1.9 gear that might help bearing in mind we just barely use 4th and definitely don't use 5th. We'd actually only use 4th in the dry.
