14" Wheels On A 1.9gti?

Theorectical question here peeps.

 

I assume they will because the brakes are the same on a 1.6 to a 1.9. Apart from the rear that is obviously.

 

But will 14" wheels fit on both front and rear axles of a 1.9 ?

so long as the bolt holes line up they should do, im fairly sure the rear discs wont cause a problem, although not tried it myself.

The disc offset is different on the front of a 1.9 so not certain they will fit but can't say they won't cause I've never tried.

yes they will bud,i got 1900 gti calipers etc on my ickle xs and i got 14 inch steel wheels over em at the mo so i presume they do,not sure on the rear though but im assuming they would be the same as the front,good luck

I think they will. Saw a 1.9 (I think he was running an Mi16) rallying at the weekend using 1.6 wheels! Nutter!

as far a the bolt holes lining up they will as ive had an xs with 1.9 wheels a while back, and that was fine, and as u will have seen, enough people run 1.6s with 1.9 wheels. the only thing is the fact that the 1.9s ave got wider track, so it its lowered it may rub on the back? i dunno?

They will fit fine, though the 1.6 has different brakes to the 1.9, both use 247mm discs (which are different too).
