Basically as the image shows the rear arch has come away. The metal seems ok, it's just the other bit ( like body seal as it's rubbery) . How do I over come this. It was full of dirt I've clean most of it out. I was thinking I could glue it back to the metal. ? Thanks Danny.

Damage there is normally caused by running without bumpstops fitted.

How can this be? The wheel won't be able to hit the bottom side of the arch.unless I'm wrong... It has bump stops fitted. The other side didn't but does not and that side is fine.

I know it's not intuitive but I've seen the same thing several times on 205s with no bumpstops that have been driven hard.

So how does it cause it then? I'm not convinced.

Like I say it isn't intuitive but I've seen it myself on several 205s and I've also seen threads/photos on here countless times over the last 15 years!

e.g. http://forum.205gtidrivers.com/index.php?showtopic=63873

I went to look at a 205 that was for sale recently, it had damage there both sides so I looked underneath and it had two shiny brand new bump stops fitted.

Thanks for the replys. Just couldn't get my head around the whole idea of how it can be that. I will take your advice. I will use tiger seal to glue it back to the metal. I will be stripping the whole car in the next couple of years so I will tackle it then. Thanks again.
