Rustproofing – What Do You Recommend?

Hello Folks. I shall be whipping the wheels off my 1.6 in the coming weeks and plan to give the underside, including inner wing arches etc, a good old clean. What do we recommend for rustproofing? Good old Waxoil? Clear or black? I've heard Fertan is quite good. What has worked well for you? Thanks Geoff

If the original coating is still good then cleaning all the mud out will more than suffice.

Thanks wp. I'm planning to clean up between the rear inner and outer wing skins. Its a fairly narrow channel and a potential moisture trap - so was thinking of applying a little extra protection.
