Replacing Quatter

Recommended Posts

Daniel306

Going to replace the quartet panel, the panel separated from the inner arch and has caused rust along the inside and rotted under the arch trim, im also planing to change the rood skin for a non-sunroof, iv got a spare shell that's rotten but has got the parts i need in good condition, has anyone got any photos or a guide for it?

there's a few topics that have covered both tasks briefly, namely craig's lazer resto had both quarters iirc, and paintguy did a roof swap a few years ago.

How did you find it, not too hard really?

Im currently replacing the front panel, both front wings, fitting new radiator and an intercooler. The drivers side lower door hinge has rusted from the inside out too.

should be a fairly simple repair, cut out a square around the hinge, remove hinge from the remains of panel, let in a square of fresh metal, weld hinge back to pillar.

perfect opportunity to fit a new hinge if you have worn ones, or at least to repair the ones you have.

I was planing to cut the complete section from the scrap car, just removed the quartet, what looked good on the outside was rotten on the inside

Where can i get a new quarter?

I would think the rear quarter panel is dealer only.

Finding them is a tricky part, I have a couple reserved for me in Belgium.

Its the shipping that is the problem.

I wonder how the pattern ones will fit mind ?
