Fuse/relay Board Help !

Recommended Posts

jimmi

Hi, Anyone have schematics for an old ( pre 86 ) 205 Fuseboard part no:650395... black in colour, with only 12 fuse slots -possibly a very early non- gti board. a Pin out diagram or pic would do... ?

As the board fitted to the rally car was covered in dust/dirt and had water ingress I sourced a brand new board from a Classic Peugeot parts dealer in Lisbon, Portugal ( He has lots of stuff including gears, shafts crown wheel/pinions etc also !) however I'm still having some electrical issues ... Flasher/Indicator relay on board constantly buzzes when RHS indicator is switched on at stalk or (new) Hazard switch applied but naught happens when I try LHS indicator... Any help/advice would be most appreciated.

Also, no side lights front or rear - but reckon issue here is I have found a wire ( no.55) cut at a fuse board plug.

Merry Christmas

Jimmi

I'm afraid that theres no such thing as "early" fuse box for 205's ... it's just one type for all models trough years (hope that someone hasn't stitch you up on that pricing it as an "vinyl" item !) :

Part No. 6503 95 is the same for all 205 fuse boards

Not quite sure what to do about your wiring problem with the indicators , think your best bet would be to do some check with an aid of the wiring diagram .

Can download Haynes manual from here :

http://www.205gti.com

(dunno why , but i can't load the site right now to paste direct link for you to download ?!? , anyways , try later or tomorrow just go from the main menu -> visitors forum -> downloads , and from there you'll see split sections from the Haynes manual available for download individual chapters)

Wrong !! there is an "early" one !

Looks the same bar the number of fuses/fuse slots ... so the wiring diagram for '86->on fuse box should do the trick as well for sorting out the wiring issue , if not , theres first published Haynes book for the 205 called "owners workshop manual" that one covers models from '83 up to '89 .

DamirGTI ....Thats the same type of fuse board I have... downloaded wiring diagram for it.... which is different to later ( 86-> models). ie: ciruit changes ref fuses etc inputs/outputs differ also. The quest to solve my electrical gremlins continues.......

Well , then you'll need one of these old Haynes 205 manuals which covers 83 to 89 models :

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Peugeot-205-Petrol-Haynes-manual-1983-1995-/301046248333

... the download chapters from that site where from the late Haynes manual , old one is called "Owners Workshop Manual" no downloads available from the net , but can pick up used book from e-bay for next to nothing these days (i have this old book somewhere , it's much more informative than the later "Service and Repair Manual" so worth having !)

I have a copy of the early workshop manual which has all the pre 86 drawings. As far as i recall there were three of four different fuse boards listed down to vin number. Will see if i can scan some of it jim, if that helps? Let me know.
