Just Picked Up My 3Rd 205

Well after a few years away from 205 ownership I have now ended up with 2!

 

Its a 1.6 Gti (my first tintop!) I also have a Cti which is my daily driver.

 

Bought for the bargain price of £125. It had been garaged for at least 8 years completely untouched, unfortunately the garage was only about 100 meters from the sea so there is plenty of bodywork rust! But underneath its very clean.

 

All 4 wheels were seized and the tyres soft but with a bit of persuasion it was on the trailer and on its way to a new home.

 

I bought it with the intention of using its for parts for my Cti but I think Im going to have to get it back on the road!

 

Since its been home Ive had a quick fiddle to try to get it started. It turns over and I have a spark but don't seem to be getting fuel through so Its time for some forum searching.

 

I will probably start a project thread soon enough...

That was on Gumtree, if I was local would of picked that up myself, good to see there is bargains to be hand still out there and will look forward to seeing another 205 back on the road.

Well done James, bargain, addictive these little cars! If you are going to try and start it I would at the very least change the fuel filter, drain and refresh the fuel and also change oil/filter. In reality I would never start it after that length of time without a Cambelt change too... looking forward to seeing more info on this project....enjoy....
