Removal/refitting Headlining

Recommended Posts

johnnyboy666

My headlining has mouldy patches, and I want to take it off to get the steam cleaner on it without making the car damp.

How is it attached? Is it just clipped in by the various other bits of trim? Or is it glued on?

And more importly, will I be able to get it back on easily?

Its a 5 door by the way

Cheers

Anthony

The factory vacuum sunroof type is quite easy to remove as there's minimal glue used, but the non-sunroof (and hence aftermarket/dealer sunroof) is a bit of a pain as it's extensively glued on and needs to be carefully and patiently removed to avoid damaging it.

Ah. Yes mine has the tilt type sunroof.

I think my best bet is to have a go and see what happens. Im considering recovering it whilst its off, so could potentially 'paper over the cracks' if it comes to it
