Trailer Hirer

Hello all,

 

I am looking at hiring a trailer but I would only be going one way, UK to Germany. Does any body know of any companies which offer a service which would be suitable for my needs?

 

I know it is a long shot but thought I would ask any way.

Not a hope, I don't think. It's hard enough to find one-way within the UK, but in Germany trailers need to be registered in their own right, as well as having an MOT-like test. So a UK trailer would be sod all use out there, apart from a one-way rental to come back to the UK (unlikely to be found), and all the German trailer legislation would be pointlessly expensive over here.

i'd consider buying one and trying to sell it out there if you are moving over there?. It would cost a fortune for a transport company. My mate broke down at the ring last year and most quotes were well into the 1k mark!

I'd definitely look into the registration hoops first, though.

you may have better luch using one of the vehicle transport companies....often going over to the ring to collect dead cars killed on the track and may do you a very good deal to fill up an otherwise empty trailer/transporter
