2.1 Td Safe Boost Pressure?

My 405 is running a 2.1 TD and I've adjusted the pump a bit.

 

Standard boost pressure is about 1 bar afaik.

 

I use a spring loaded ball valve to adjust pressure, but I believe it has failed and that the pressure is maxing out.

Flooring it for a while the boost pressure will jump to 1.4-1.5 bar and creep a bit further to 1.6 if pedal is held for a long time.

 

Do anyone know what pressure I should use to keep a bit of reability into this?

I've been running my 1.9 dt on a t2 at 2 bar and it's been fine for several months now

What turbo is it on?

it's the standard turbo, engine came from a 1992 605 2.1 TD.

So i'm not really sure.

 

2 bar sound insane.
