pugfrank 14 1 Cars Posted December 9, 2013 The previous owner of the car fitted a replacement drivers door to my 205, but unfortunately as you come to shut the door it is about 10mm to low. As you shut the door it bashes against the white pin on the car and forces its self way upwards as you push it to shut the door. Can I adjust the door in some way? Anthony 1,002 Posted December 9, 2013 There's a fair bit of adjustment by loosening the hinge bolts and moving the door up/down/in/out - sounds like you need to move it up a bit.

NFS 32 Posted December 11, 2013 you may also need new door pins, only a couple of quid on ebay, a good way to test if you need pins or just move the door and thats to open the door and lift it up and down, if there is movement of about 10mm then you need new hinges, if its solid then just need to adjust the door. pugfrank 14 1 Cars Posted December 11, 2013 Thanks, there is no movement with the door open on the door hinges/pins, so I guess its just a case of adjusting the door.
nick205 12 5 Cars Posted December 20, 2013 What are the shut lines like at the moment? There should also be adjustment in the for strike on the B pillar and possibly on the catch in the door too.
