Yeah they are very cool, i was thinking about doing my alloys in a carbon effect but not sure how durable it is and if it can take the abuse on the wheels.

I hope that one day we will be doing this at home for the cost of a tin of spray paint.

Yep, the americans use it on gun stocks for hunting, so maybe its alittle like plastic coating, will have to give it a bash, i have seen a girl in the dub scene use it on her BBS rm's, not sure how well its held out though.

Check out Aquagraphix.co.uk, they seem pretty good (expensive but!). I follow them on FB after seeing some bits they did on another forum user's car.

The finish should be just as durable as any other painted finish, after all, that is what they are doing - paint, water transfer, lacquer.

It looks quite impressive, but if you look closely at some of the items, the pattern can be quite distorted and warped, and also it looks like there are bubbles. I also have to question why they are doing it by hand rather than something that would give a linear motion.

pretty easy to do, you have to get a good finish on the paint before applying the transfer tho, also you have to have your water at a certain temp. i was thinking about doing the goodwood effect on mine but with a carbon dip center
