How To Remove Rear Brake Lines And Hand Brake Cable From Brake Plates?

Litterally finished my project. All i need is to swap the old beam for the new one. New donar beam is all cleaned up, hammerited and sporting new shoes and cylinders.

 

Old beam is off the car... however, it's still attached via the hand brake cable and brake lines. Can't for the life of me figure out how to remove these. Any suggestions?

 

Really need to try and get this done sunday / monday or the hopes of being MOT's before xmas go out the window

I've tried to undo at point 2 and 3 with a 17mm spanner. It keeps twisting but doesn't undo. Can't even fathom how to remove at point 1??

 

 

Then i have the handbrake cable. Again, can't figure out how this removes from the brakeplate for the life of me

You need an 11 mm brake pipe spanner for the unions, as well as whatever size it is for the hoses.

 

for the handbrake cable you need to scrape away the crud then either squeeze the tabs and push the cable fitting through, or tap out with a punch as applicable.

 

tbh, with how crusty it all looks you might as well get a roll of pipe and some fittings and the flexis and sort them all whilst you have it al apart.

Cut them off and replace them, Save's using old parts and flexi's as said, No need to remove number 1 as it's part of the beam,
