Dimma Split Rims Tyre Profile?

Recommended Posts

C_W

They aren't made from the 15" 1.9 speedlines as they are quite a lot different. In fact the centre wheel part seems smaller and squarer. I think it would have been a nicer wheel if it had been an exact copy of the 15" Speedline but with the larger split rim extended round it.

I emailed Dimma asking if they still made the wheels or had any available. They haven't got back to me yet.

I think the ones from the normal 1.9 alloy's are the same.

Dimma do still make the wheels but they are a bit pricey.

I was quoted £250 for a replacement rim this time lasty year. I think as far a 2 piece split rims go its a fair price. I got mine refurbed/aligned to pass an MOT for £35 in the end...

that might explain why they are so cheap,

i searched for 195/40/16

and i got Perelli P ZERO NERO 195/40 R16 80w XL priced £67.80

and Dunlop SP SPORT 9000 195/40 ZR16 XL mit priced £69.70

i know the profile is a bit small but would they fit????

I really do think that 195 wide tyres are way too narrow for a Dimma rim?

Nope they aren't remoulds. Quite good tyres really for budget ones, certainly better than, say, Hankook. Kumho also supply the tyres for quite a few race series now.

I'd certainly buy Kumho Ecsta 711s again because for the price they were a good tyre for track days.

Iv got a dimma wheel and it's giving a bit of vibration when on the front. Put on the back of the car and no problem. Have been balanced corectly, what else could I try ? ?checking the torque of the nuts/bolts

I know that :) but I'm trying to look on the bright side :( Either way when it's on the back all is well. If it is buckled there ain't much I can do is there ???
