youll need about 20mm spacer i believe. Not a fan of spacers my self

What's downside of spacers? Will I need longer nuts then?

Yes longer bolts, if there not hub centric spacers they could make the steering shake.

Just looked at hubcentric spacers on eBay, £70 not cheap are they! Don't understand how if bolted up correctly they cause a problem surely it's just like adding more material to the back of the wheel?

Hubcentric spacers allow them to be bolted on correctly, its part of the solution.

About right, plus your longer bolts to suit, I know allye paid about £120 for his
