Anybody Know About 205 Stdt?

This variant is new to me - it seems to be a turbocharged diesel, available late in model life.

 

Does anyone know what the spec. is/was? Where was the engine from - 405?? What was the bodywork style? Any special finish, markings? Etc........... just like to know more!

Looks a little like a GTI, sounds like a tractor and goes like an old diesel would

I use to have one, they came in a Grey, Gold and 'Oberon' Green as far as I'm aware.

 

Famed for their lovely beige interiors and they had the same wheels as a 405 STDT with big wheel caps.

 

I really liked mine, it might have sounded like a van but it pulled quite well.

bit like the phase 1 306 d turbo -- all the trim/ tinted glass /spoilers etc of the 2 litre xsi but with a 1900 turbo diesel

think the stdt is the same with non standard paint [sorrento green for one ] and gti trim

The STDT had a non intercooled 1800cc turbo diesel base on the XUD7 not the later 1.9 XUD9.

heated mirrors, which i love. illuminated sun visors which i dont care two hoots about. only put mine on the road 5 weeks ago after being stood 6 years. abosolutely love it as my gti is away for the winter. have grafted 1.9td fmic into mine though.

my mum has a metallic blue one, looked like a gti, was amazing, was kind of the car that is what i remember and love about 205's. loved that car. the mother has recently said she really really wants it back now.

afraid not.

aztec gold with gold wheels.

steel grey and i think its oberon green both had silver rims.
