How Does This Come Off?

Its where the oil cooler connect to the engine, I've had a very large spanner on it, didn't like to put more pressure on it as I'm not sure how it's connected to the block.

 

It also looks like it's been installed with sealer, I can't see sign of any gasket, (maybe it's on O ring??) is this also correct.

You need to unscrew the bolt in the middle as you were trying.

 

It should have an o-ring between the cooler adaptor and the block. You'll see it when it comes off. There's also a seal at the base of the bolt.
