Base Model To 1.6 Gti Beam

Hi to all,

 

This may have been covered before and if so I apologise in advance,

 

I have a 1994 Mardi Gras turbo diesel car it has the gti front subframe from the factory and what I'm assuming is a base model rear beam,

 

I've got offered a good condition 1.6 gti beam at a good price,

Straight swap?

I know bolting it up will be but what about brake lines and the like,

I put a 1.6 GTI beam on a Mardi Gras for someone once, it was years ago and I don't remember much about it but apart from having to deal with more seized bolts than most GTIs I don't remember doing anything other than swapping the beams over.
