I wouldn't sell, definitely keep it, you'll regret selling it. nothing like it out there anymore!

Sell it. Some people simply move on. Others end up with another later in life.

It has to be a personal decision Adam. I have owned a number of PUGs over many years and always regretted selling my first one too quickly. Its always good to get back in the driving seat.

If you still get enjoyment from owning the car, and you are not desperate for cash (and have somewhere to store it) you could always consider SORN and laying up the car.

Good luck either way.

It not the money it's more the space and time issue be a shame to see it go especially with the money I have put into it but feel it's the right thing to do would be an easier to decide wether or not to chop my arm off

you guys have a read and let me know if im missing anything thanks

First off I’m not getting rid of this car because I don’t want it it's purely down to the fact that my job is taking up more time than I would like there for have less time to work on the 205 and have no space to keep it if I buy another daily.

I have looked at every option available to me but sadly sale is the only way. The car has travelled nearly 90k it pulls well still for its age please remember its age if you decide to view it the car is in good condition for its age last time I took it to a show a fair few people photo’d the car as most of you will know it’s a phase 1 I believe they ran the 1.9 phase 1 for 6 months then changed to the phase 1.5 of course making this one of the rarer 205 GTI'S around I have been using this car as my daily for over a year now it’s not fault free as I’m not at 30 years old.

Good points I have spent a lot on this car to make it right starting with Bilstein b4 front shocks with new springs, had new sensors (sad and oil pressure) 2 x track rod ends 2x new bottom arms 4x yokohama Prada v-spec 2 tyres, Brembo rear discs and pads, New handbrake cables, new starter motor, gearbox engine mount and lower engine mount, New clutch (200 miles ago) with thrust bearing guide shaft, timing belt and water pump, oil filler cap with gauze (plus a spare) 2x drop links, resealed sump, battery 12 months ago, new battery terminals, front wheel bearings, braided brake hoses no copper at all, brake fluid change, 2 oil changes in 12 months, plugs, inlet manifold gasket rocker gasket distributor oil seal drive shaft seals all replaced there’s probably more but this is what I can remember up to now.

Bad points gearbox whines, wiper motor wont park on its own, missing a bump stop, no cd player, had a little welding under the bonnet where the jack use to go never got round to finishing just wants filling and painting door actuators sometimes fail, missing a bump stop, none of these are serious but the gearbox could do with sorting ideally

I have all the door actuators, a wiper motor, distributor, oil breather cap, alternator, and more spare parts.

Electric windows, no power steering, non-cat model, it has a special made bonnet that is cut and pressed allows heat to vent out well, instead of fog light has rallye grill inserts rarer than you could imagine, half leather, red carpet, smoother boot, stainless steel back box, 4 branch manifold, k and n induction (6 months old).

Please if I have left anything out you would like to no please ask.

Haven't they only got three wheels. Buy a 4 post lift for it and stick your 205 underneath :)
